ABOUT DebEX-Mint 10 with kernel 3.0.0-12-generic - 111128

My new DebEX-Mint 10 live DVD is in Swedish. The system is a remaster of Linux Mint 10 - aka "Julia" (From freedom came elegance), released on 12 November 2010. Gnome 2:32 and kernel 3.0.0-12-generic (the same as in Linux Mint 12) is used.

Program content, etc.: Among many other programs, OpenOffice 3.2.1, Firefox 8.0, Firefox 8.0.1, VLC 1.1.4, Gimp 2.6.10 and win32 codecs. All programs have been updated to the latest available stable version as of 28 November 2011.

History etc
My first version of DebEX-Mint 10 is from the 14th of November 2010. The current version (111128) have been added at the request of mint enthusiasts, who believe that version 10 is the best version of Linux Mint. The big advantage of my new DebEX-Mint 10 is that it includes kernel 3.0.0-12-generic. With such a new kernel DebEX-Mint 10 will support almost all new hardware. Eg. new mobile and USB devices, etc.

My changes/additions to the original system
1. Kernel 3.0.0-12-generic
2. Firefox 8.0.1
3. Thunderbird 8.0
4. Leafpad (the world's best small text editor)

Change of locale to English or any other language
Please study this web page. Also start gnome-language-selector. Reboot.

Installation on a USB stick
You can use UNetbootin to install the system directly from the ISO file on a USB Flash Drive. See this picture how it looks when UNetbootin is running in Windows 7.
